Emile Boisvert . Mixed-Media Artist

I'm a multimedia artist and game developer from the frozen wilds of New England whose art is deeply inspired by the bright colors of retro nostalgia & classic science fiction. As an illustrator & clothing designer I’ve developed the “Good Vibes” apparel line–- a tropical collection focused on the anachronism of striving for constant positivity in a world that thrives on negative energy. I’ve also collaborated with brands to design merchandise for their stores, the most recent and well-known being a lisa frank-inspired piece for Bull Moose that was printed on a variety of retro-style items spanning from pogs to trapper keepers.

Alongside my visual and sculptural work, I also make games under the name Psychotronic Games. I’ve shown my games at multiple industry events such as PAXEast and GaymerXEast.

over several years, the most well-known being a survival horror improvisational card game "Somebody Has to Die". These games frequently overlap play-style categories, such as my board game & tabletop rpg hybrid "Apochalyptica". They aim to encourage improvisation and storytelling skills while providing older audiences with lore-driven narratives, and encourage group-play regardless of skill level or experience.

In my free time I also serve as a presenter on transgender welfare in medicine and have spoken at international events like ASHRM and the IHI. Alongside medical professionals, I advocate from the patient perspective for the creation of safe spaces and the removal of binary gender formatting in medical settings. These presentations also challenge practices to reexamine biases and micro-aggressions when interacting with gender nonconforming patients, and provide data-driven examples of the dangers transgender patients face while navigating the healthcare system.
